ppre Limited was set up in January 2003 as a not-for-profit research company. In May 2010 it became a Community Interest Company.Community Interest Companies (CICs) are limited companies, with special additional features, created for the use of people who want to conduct a business or other activity for community benefit, and not purely for private advantage.
Ippre associates have also worked in a number of universities in the UK and internationally.
The managing director, John Eversley, is now mostly based in Northern Ireland where he is engaged in teaching and policy development.A sister company Macroscopia CIC has been set up to take this work forward.
The company secretary, Alice Bigelow, leads ppre's work in London on community research, engagement and project management for open space development and public management.
ppre's objectives are:
o To carry out research on public policy and management.
o To promote education, training and development relating to public policy and management
o To develop new methods and materials for research and development in public policy.
o To promote Equal Opportunities in carrying out public policy research.
